AI Skills Workshop: Career, Academic & Professional Development In-Person / Online

This hands-on workshop will equip students and postgraduate scholars with the necessary skills to integrate AI tools into their academic and professional workplaces effectively. The sessions will also explore how AI can support business-building initiatives.

The scholars will learn to use AI to enhance:

  • Presentations
  • Design research methodology
  • Proofread articles and books
  • Draft CVs, résumés, and cover letters.

In addition, the workshop will introduce participants to AI-powered tools that:

  • Convert text into audio (for podcasts, presentations, or accessibility purposes)
  • Audio into text (for interviews, lectures, or meeting notes)

Participants will explore tools like:

  • NotebookLM
  • Whisper by OpenAI,
  • ElevenLabs,
  • Descript and TTSReader.

These tools will be demonstrated through short exercises that show how to generate voiceovers from written scripts, transcribe recorded conversations, and summarize audio content. This segment will help attendees understand how AI can streamline content creation and communication in academic and entrepreneurial contexts.

By using AI strategically, scholars will learn to save time, increase productivity, and boost their overall efficiency in academic and workplace settings.
