Altmetric Explorer for Institutions: how it can help you track the attention your work creates online Online
Altmetric Explorer for institutions is an intuitive platform that enables individual researchers, departments, and faculties to monitor the online activity surrounding academic research.
The Explorer enables individual authors, and departments/faculties within the University to browse and use the full Altmetric database to track work from other universities, including seeing who is funding this work.
The Altmetric Explorer for Institutions can help researchers, departments, and faculties to:
- Track influence as it happens
- Ensure effective reputation management
- Support researchers - pull metrics for NRF rating application process
- Inform strategic decision making
- Report on outcomes and trends
- Improve grant application success
Individual researchers, departments, and faculties can use Altmetric Explorer to run reports and analyse attention on research that matters most. This can be done by creating custom shareable reports, exporting saved searches to CSV files to create additional graphs, and using the API to do more in-depth reporting as needed.
Please make sure to sign up for your personal log-in using your institutional email address before you attend the training so that you can create and save your own searches after viewing the live demonstration.
